Our Mood is Linked to the Weather

We do not need to be a meteorologist nor psychologist to realize the links between the weather and our mood. Yes; the weather affects our mood. Most of you must have been moody when it is too hot, or blue when it is raining. Do you see the connections?  However, you can not haul the weather over the coals. On the other hand, there are some major evidence that strengthen the probability that the weather affects our mood.

A bright and sunny day can bring us to be energetic and fired up. A bright sun is a sign that it is going to be a good day. A good day indicates the agenda that have been programmed for the whole day will be accomplished well. A prediction that the agenda will go well will also bring a good mood for the whole day – as long as the weather does not change, of course. Days like these make people think that their life is wonderful.

While a bright day brings a good mood, a very hot temperature causes people to be bad-tempered. All they want is just to finish what they do quickly, an often in a hurry. This condition often make people to be impatient and careless, and irritated afterward. And the next thing they know, they have made some mistakes. These times are called bad days.

After the bright day and the very-hot day, comes a cloudy day. A cloudy or even rainy day invites laziness and gloom to the heart. Cloudy day means dark all the time. Dark times are the natural alarm for the body to get rest. That is why we feel lazy and sleepy when it is cloudy. An when the rain comes, the gloom accompanies us. The rain have some rhythm that is suspected can recall the sad past. Those conditions often lead to the depression and sadness.

The evidence strengthen the statement that the weather is surely affecting our mood. Happy and alive in sunny day, grumpy in very hot day, or sad in rainy/cloudy day.
